Bishop Ronald L. Bailey, born and raised in Harlem, New York City, is the Senior Pastor of Love Gospel Assembly, one of the larger multi-faceted, multi-cultural ministries in New York City. Bishop Bailey was ordained in 1987 by The Late Bishop Gerald Julius Kaufman, Founder of Love Gospel Assembly, who mentored Bishop Bailey as he walked side by side with Dr. Kaufman in full-time ministry for eight years.
On April 26, 2004 Dr. Ronald L. Bailey was ordained Bishop. Bishop Ronald L. Bailey oversees churches in Barbados, Ghana, New England, & Rhode Island. Bishop Ronald L. Bailey has a Bachelor of Arts in Theological Studies, a Master of Arts in Theology from Evangelical Theological Seminary and Doctor of Ministry (D.MIN) from United Theological Seminary in conjunction with Robert Schuller’s School for Preaching (FUQUA School of Communication). Bishop Bailey sits on the Board of Directors for The Urban Youth Alliance Inc., The Steering Committee for The Bronx National Day of Prayer and the Board of Directors for the Concerts of Prayer, Greater New York. He is also an instructor at Antioch School of Urban Ministry.
Bishop Bailey’s life and work as he labored beside Dr. Kaufman is considered a contemporary example of the Joshua and Moses ministry paradigm. As a result, the Vision of Love Gospel Assembly has admirably continued. Bishop Bailey has been empowered by God to pick up the torch and build on the sturdy foundation of ministry to/for the poor and inner cities, giving God the glory, honor to individuals and dignity to the community.
Bishop Ronald L. Bailey has been married to First Lady Dorothy Bailey since 1968. They have three children (Ronald, Rachel, and Danielle) and four grandchildren.
